Ted Muldoon

Ted’s journey to finding yoga has come through an array of eclectic experiences both personally and professionally. A work ethic instilled in him by his father at an early age combined with three years of serving in the “be all you can be” U.S. Army shaped his work ethic and leadership skills while instilling in him a passion for lifelong learning, which he pursued after military service and continues today. Completing his education nights while working full time, Ted earned associate and bachelor’s degrees in business and a Law Degree, he also received certifications in Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health and Mediation. Over time Ted’s sweat equity, perseverance and leadership skills helped propel him from a newspaper distribution mailroom to a director level management position in a Top 10 Forbes Global 2000 company with many experiences along the way. As Ted rose up the corporate ladder, his blood pressure and stress level rose as well. Work no longer left time for weightlifting, handball or racquetball and since completing his enlistment and being honorably discharged from the military, his love of leading Army men and women in PT (physical training) was just a memory. So, in 2011 Ted pondered a new stress reducing physical activity and discovered yoga. Yoga has had such a profound transformative impact on Ted, along with HeartMath, acupuncture, meditation and Ayurvedic medicine, that he incorporated each of these into his current lifestyle and went on to complete his certified 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training at iShine in June 2024. Originally a New Englander from the “Ocean State” Ted lives in Huntersville with his wife Debbie and their sweet English Bullterrier Lovey (think Target Dog). Ted is a music lover whose play list covers a multitude of genres, a foodie who likes to cook (specialties include Crème Brulé, Chianti braised short ribs, mushroom risotto and cedar planked salmon) and enjoys the citizen science of birding which brings him back to the outdoors and nature.
